Mantongande Releases New EP ‘Echoed Mercy’
Mantongande officially announces the release of her highly anticipated EP titled “Echoed Mercy”,
available from 17 April 2026. This deeply personal body of work stands as a powerful testimony of
grace, restoration, and unwavering faith.
“Echoed Mercy” reflects Mantongande’s journey of returning to the studio after enduring a tragic
and life-altering experience during her previous recording. At the time, she lost her voice and was
unable to complete portions of her songs due to severe illness linked to cancer symptoms. Against
all odds, she has risen again—reclaiming her voice and her calling—to testify of God’s mercy and
the gift of a second chance.

The project further carries the weight of personal loss, as Mantongande honors the memory of her
late team member, Eric Moyo, who tragically passed away just a week after the recording of her
previous project, “Healing Project.” This EP continues her healing journey, weaving together
themes of grief, faith, endurance, and divine restoration.

“Echoed Mercy” introduces a distinctive and uncommon sound, positioning Mantongande as a
pioneering voice in what is being recognized as Maskandi Gospel—a rare and spiritually resonant
fusion that breaks traditional genre boundaries.
Inspired by the message of Lamentations 3:22–23, which reminds us that God’s mercies are new
every morning, “Echoed Mercy” carries a resounding message: no matter how far one has fallen or
how deep the pain, grace still echoes, calling us back to life, purpose, and hope.
It is Mantongande’s heartfelt prayer that this project reaches listeners at their point of need, bringing
healing, encouragement, and a renewed sense of faith.
