MONKEY SHOULDER ANNOUNCES SHIMZA TO CHAMPION AFRO HOUSE AND AFRO TECH
The global whisky brand partners with one of South Africa’s leading DJs to bring its “Nothing Beats Now” attitude to life through music, culture and Orange Hour. Monkey Shoulder has appointed internationally-acclaimed South African DJ and producer. Shimza as its official DJ Ambassador for Afro House and Afro Tech. The partnership brings together a global whisky brand with one of the artists helping take South African sound to the world, with Shimza set to appear across a series of Monkey Shoulder moments in Johannesburg, Cape Town and KZN. And at the heart of the partnership is one simple idea: Nothing Beats Now.
DIFFERENT BEATS. SAME ENERGY. SHARED DNA.
Shimza has built a career on doing things his own way, taking Afro House and Afro Tech from South African dance floors to audiences around the world while continuing to pioneer the culture that shaped him. Monkey Shoulder has always preferred its whisky with a little less convention too. Born from three single malts and built around doing things differently, the brand has long found a natural home in music, street art and the people who refuse to follow the usual script. It makes Shimza and Monkey Shoulder a pretty playful pour: two names with global reach,
South African rhythm and very little interest in “the ordinary”

GOLDEN HOUR HAD A GOOD RUN. INTRODUCING: ORANGE HOUR.
Orange Hour is Monkey Shoulder’s invitation to South Africa to make more of the moment. As the sun dips, hit play on Shimza’s Orange Hour Spotify playlist, pour a Monkey Shoulder and spend 60 minutes entirely on your terms.
Your music. Your people. Your pour.
No rules. No saving it for later. Just Trust Your Taste.
Nothing Beats Now.
