Bokang Relebohile Maseli is entering her reign as Miss Global Princess South Africa 2026 with a clear ambition: to make her crown mean something beyond the pageant stage.

The young model’s victory represents the culmination of a personal journey centred on confidence, self-acceptance and resilience.

Bokang’s relationship with modelling developed gradually. She did not grow up with pageantry as a major ambition and initially lacked the confidence to pursue significant goals. As she became more comfortable with herself, she returned to modelling with a renewed sense of purpose.

Her mother recognised that potential early and encouraged her to take modelling seriously. That encouragement became an important part of the journey that eventually brought Bokang to the Miss Global Princess South Africa competition.

The experience challenged her to confront the insecurities she had once carried. Instead of allowing her past to define her, she learned to separate the person she once was from the person she is becoming.

That distinction is now central to her identity.

Bokang wants her platform to focus on young women, particularly those who struggle to believe in their abilities. She is passionate about youth empowerment and entrepreneurship and wants to encourage young people to take action on their ideas rather than allowing fear to keep them comfortable.

Her poetry is another important part of that mission.

Through poems such as Younger Me, Bokang uses storytelling and creativity to explore personal growth and communicate messages of self-belief and self-love.

She also has ambitions of becoming an entrepreneur and public speaker. Her long-term vision is to build a career that allows her to influence and empower young women while continuing to develop herself professionally.

For Bokang, being a queen is therefore about responsibility as much as recognition.

She wants to be remembered as someone who worked hard, embraced opportunities and encouraged other girls to believe that they are capable of achieving greatness.
